How it works…
All of our weddings at Hotel du Lac take place on an exclusive-use basis. This means that your whole wedding party has private use of our entire hotel – including all 20 bedrooms – for a minimum of two nights during your special event.
*If you’re a smaller group looking to celebrate pre-or-post wedding and you’d like to book a table in our restaurant, you can contact our hotel team and they’ll be delighted to help you make a table reservation.
The Bedrooms
Amongst our 20 en-suite bedrooms we can accommodate up to 47 guests, with the ability to add cot beds for children into some of our bedrooms. Here’s how the bedroom formations work…
– 5 x standard twin / double rooms
– 1 x standard double room
– 9 x premium twin / double rooms
– 1 x premium double room
– 2 x triple rooms
– 1 x family mezzanine room sleeping 4 people
– 1 x family mezzanine room sleeping 4/5 people (also makes an excellent honeymoon suite!)
At first we were nervous about planning a wedding abroad but having Lily on the ground to coordinate everything for us was perfect. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without her!

The Bar
You’ll have exclusive use of our hotel bar, which will remain open throughout your wedding day and until 1.30am.
The bar is a great place for your guests to gather before your wedding ceremony; why not treat them to a delicious welcome cocktail before proceedings get underway?
If you’ve a special wine or Champagne that you’d like to feature in your wedding day celebrations, you’re very welcome to bring it along (a corkage fee will apply).
About Me
I’m Lily the wedding and events planner at Hotel du lac. I’ve been calling the French Alps my home now for the past 8 years and been living in Morzine for the past 2.5 years.
In the winter seasons you’ll find me on the slopes enjoying a bit of skiing. But come summertime, I’ll be with my four-legged buddy ‘Opie’ hiking the trails and taking a dip in the lake.
I’m not just about outdoor adventures. I’ve got a thing for event planning too. I love working with different couples to make their big day extra special. Seeing it all come together is very rewarding and lovely to see.
So, whether I’m up in the mountains, exploring new trails or making wedding magic happen, life in the French Alps is where it’s at for me.
